HISTORY:

CARS, the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service, began in 1985 to provide buyers and sellers within the automotive repair and service community a place to network, an educational resource for learning about the technological advancements, and is a unique marketplace to see all products, services, equipment and technology available to industry professionals.

SPONSORED BY:

CARS is sponsored by Automotive Service Association, the largest not-for-profit trade association of its kind dedicated to and governed by independent automotive service and repair professionals. ASA serves an international membership base that includes numerous affiliates, state and chapter groups from both the mechanical and collision repair segments of the automotive service industry.

 WHAT IS ASRW?

Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW) was created in 2008 with the overall goal of bringing together buyers and sellers of automotive products and services in one venue that includes both education and trade show activities. ASRW continues to grow and include activities for other organizations' industry segments and events with the goal of creating a "mega" service and repair event that will touch all aspects of the automotive service and repair industry.

As part of this initiative, CARS  and NACE (International Autobody Congress and Exposition) co-located to create an industry-wide event that includes both the collision and mechanical segments of the automotive service and repair industry. Each event continues to maintain its unique market identity, providing focused offerings specifically targeting each respective industry segment.
