Once signed in using your e-code, you will be brought to your own, personalized
landing page. Every user will see at least one Event Tab, representing the show (site) from which you signed in. From this point on, every Hanley Wood customer's
page will look different because...
Every customer's Show Event History will be different - a unique Tab will appear for each, active Hanley Wood event for which there is history.
Each customer will be Signing-in to
for the first time at different times. The POINT Parts and content will change as the Event dates approach.
BASIC NAVIGATION: Getting around in
|
HOW DO I CHANGE MY EVENT LANDING PAGE?
When you Sign In to ConnectionPOINT for the first time, you will automatically land on the current year of your most recent event. However, any changes you make to your ConnectionPOINT show pages will save - including the event page you leave from - so your ConnectionPOINT is in the same state you left it each time you sign back in.
HOW DO I SWITCH BETWEEN EVENTS?
You'll notice you will have a tab for each Hanley Wood event for which you have participated (image 1, arrow 1). Switching between your events is easy - simply click the tab of the selected event you would like to view. The event home will automatically display that event's most current year (or the last year you viewed in that event).
HOW DO I VIEW PAST YEARS WITHIN EVENTS?
In the Selected Show Part on the right-hand section there is a yellow box that asks, "Looking for a Different Year?" (image 1, arrow 3). This Part is available throughout all of ConnectionPOINT and allows you to float in and out of various show years.
HOW DO I VIEW MY SPECIFIC SHOW HISTORY?
ConnectionPOINT provides all your registration history for all Hanley Wood events all in one place. (see Image 2, arrow 2). Click the icon for further details on each year's registration. It will take you to that year's event where you can view that year's session details.
HOW CAN I VIEW EVENTS THAT I HAVEN'T PARTICIPATED IN?
ConnectionPOINT lets you add new tabs for all Hanley Wood events to give you an idea of which additional shows might be a match for you. You can add an event one of two ways:
1. Click the "Add New Tab" from the tab menu on the top of the selected show tool bar (image 1, arrow 1).
2. From the All Show PART, click the event you are interested in adding (image 1, arrow 2).

CUSTOMIZATION: GETTING THE PARTS TO MOVE, HIDE, EXPAND...
THERE IS A LOT OF INFORMATION WITHIN
. DO I HAVE TO LOOK AT ALL THE PARTS, ALL AT ONCE?
With so much available at your fingertips, we realize it can be a bit of "information overload". You are able to Shrink a Part by toggling the menu carrot located in the top right-hand corner of the Part you wish to shrink (Image 3, arrow 1). To Expand a Part with hidden content, simply click the menu carrot.
CAN I TURN ON OR TURN OFF PARTS AT MY WILL?
Some
Parts are optional and can be turned on and off by the user. Those parts will have an X indicated in their Part Menu (image 3, arrow 2). To close the Part, simply click select the X on the desired Part. To re-open a closed Part, the user will need to add it from the Add A Part Menu (image 4) at the top of the screen. All other Parts are administered by Show Management. However, the user has the ability to Shrink and Expand all Parts. (Step 3 will discuss in detail: a description of each Part, a timeline of when it is activated, and who controls each Part.)

CAN I CHANGE THE LAYOUT OF MY
?
Absolutely. Each Event Tab can be completely customized based on your individual needs. To
Move a Part, you simply drag and drop - using the cursor as your intended landing location. If your Part doesn't move the first time it could be because 1. the Part wasn't completely picked up or it was dropped in the process. Simply try it again. OR 2. The Part is ineligible to be moved or it is ineligible to be moved to THAT location. Step 3 will discuss which parts can be moved into which locations for the Remodeling Show / DeckExpo Event tab.
While each Event tab can be individually customized, please note that each Event will have different administration limitations. For example, the Remodeling Show may let you move your Calendar Part to any Column within ConnectionPOINT however, World of Concrete has adminstered it to Column 2 only.

I'VE BEEN IN
FOR A WHILE BUT NONE OF MY RSS FEEDS HAVE CHANGED. IS SOMETHING WRONG?
While you are Signed-In, ConnectionPOINT will wait for you to tell it to go look for new RSS articles. To do this, simple click the refresh button (image 3, arrow 3) located in the center of the RSS Part menu. If articles don't refresh after you have clicked the refresh button, then no new articles are available.
